Gertrude's Writing Room, the space, is now closed. Owner Vanessa Shields is taking a sabbatical for 2023. There will be no writing offerings during 2023 as Vanessa focuses on retreat, rejuvenation and rebuilding.

Vanessa is not taking on any new editing or mentoring relationships at this time.

Creativity Guidance

Creativity Guidance is the gift of inspiration, motivation, structure, time-management and craft discipline. Creativity Guidance is for the writer at any stage of his/her/their writing life. Creativity Guidance is a relationship intended to get you motivated to make time and give energy to your writing project.

Mentoring is the deepest and most interactive creative engagement we can experience together.

Mentorships last for agreed up durations, no less than 4 sessions, up to however long it takes to complete your project(s). This is a committed relationship that needs time to cultivate and grow – just as you and your project(s) will cultivate and grow.
